This week has gone by in a blur. Between normal family craziness, Mom’s surgery, coordinating kids to & from school, presenting on a patient- and family- centered care webinar, birthday parties and driving a million miles between it all…I’m spent.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who prayed for my Mom this week. Your kind words, prayers, flowers, and meals touched her heart, often bringing grateful tears to her eyes. Her recovery is going well. Each day the pain lessens, the nausea abates further, and her classic spunk returns. Keep the encouragement coming her way as six weeks of rest and no lifting is daunting for my independent Mother 🙂
Autumn ushered in cooler temps and warmer clothes this week. With utter satisfaction I pulled the scarf box down from storage to bundle up! Soon scents of cider and pumpkins will fill the air, wafting in from harvest fields, lattes and candles alike. Aaahhh…. My favorite time of year!
Three years ago today dear friends of ours journeyed over oceans and continents to reach an orphan – an orphan who would become their daughter. Their journey touched many of us, fleshing out walking by faith in the face of unknown and looming heartache. Tasha wrote a beautiful post commemorating all that occurred to give a girl a home. Its a MUST READ!
Many of you prayed for Joanna Dennstaedt last week. Praise The Lord – the surgeons found No Evidence of Disease in the removed lymph tissue!! What a blessing! Her road ahead remains long with a painful recovery process but things are going in the right direction for Jo. Thank you all for praying for their family! Keep up to date with her journey at her blog, Walk With Me.
Sunshine. Cooler breezes. Lots of snuggles with my kiddos. Gator football.
Sure is shaping up to be a fine weekend. I’ll leave you with this pic captured by the amazing Amber Parnell at her son’s superhero birthday party. Bad guys – beware!
